re : MOBIL-ICE KNEE PACK

Mobil-Ice is used in all my knee patients for whatever operation, whether it be a Total Knee Replacement or an Arthroscopic procedure including anterior cruciate ligaments.

The reason mobil-ice has worked very well for me is that it minimises swelling and gives the patient relief as well as giving them proprioceptive support to a minimal degree. It is very easy to put on, very easy and user friendly for the patient to use and the patients whether they use the ice or not, wear this comforting brace for some time after the surgery. The patients use the brace in conjunction with ice but obviously the brace can be used to be heated up if patients feel that this is better. It is ultimately transportable and a lot of the patients, certainly in their early rehabilitation period when going back to sport, put it in their kit bags and use it afterwards to strap up the knee in the acute post exercise program. It has proved to be durable and not a single brace or pack has broken on me.
